No Boycott of Next House of Representatives’ Session because of Fuel Price Hike

2018-01-14 - 7:06 p

Bahrain Mirror: Akbhar Al-Khaleej local newspaper said that the MPs are to attend the House of Representatives coming session, and that they will not boycott the session or postpone it to Tuesday due to petrol prices increase.

The MPs added that this is due to the King's directions in "restructuring support through compatibility between the two authorities. The full opportunity is to be given to the commission established for this aim."

The Parliament First Deputy Speaker Ali Al-Aradi expected that all MPs would attend the following session, due to "agreement" between the two authorities.

For his part, MP Ahmad Qarata said that a coordinating meeting on the issue of restructuring support will be held on Sunday to discuss issues of gasoline price hike and compensation for citizens for this increase.
