Bahrain Mirror: Bahrain's Chief of Public Security Tariq Al-Hassan denied arresting captain and former Bahraini football player and football pundit for Al-Kass sports channel in Qatar, Hamood Sultan, saying that the man is good and is in his house.

This came after Hamood's wife confirmed her husband's arrest on her Twitter account on Sunday night.

Al-Hassan posted on his Twitter account saying "The man is fine and is in his house! These people fabricate lies and pretend they are victims, because they think if they continue in their lies, people would believe them." Al-Hassan posted samples of what he describes as "fabrications" of some tweeters.

Footage showing Sultan saying "the best thing nowadays is publicity frankly, you killed us. These are simple things, but don't push it too far" was circulated today during the early hours of the morning, while a voice from behind the camera can be heard telling Sultan "rumors, rumors".

Well-known Qatari accounts affirmed the arrest of Al-Muharraq club goalkeeper and former player in the Bahrain national football team Hamood Sultan.
