Ruling Family in Bahrain Made up its Mind: No For Shiites

Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): Bahrain's history will never return as it was. Everything predicted by diplomats or written by analysts about Bahrain's future have gone with the wind.

On Wednesday (July 27, 2016), the judge in the high criminal court was like an executioner of the ruling minority standing against the head of the Shia sect in Bahrain, Sheikh Isa Ahmad Qassim.

Everything changed on February 14, 2011, and then on March 16 and May 31, 2016, when the regime toughened the sentence issued against opposition leader Sheikh Ali Salman and revoked the citizenship of the most significant Shiite religious figure in Bahrain on June 20, 2016. Thereafter, July 27, 2016 came to represent another date to be remembered; when the court held Sheikh Qassim's first hearing session.

There is no solution. Backing down and listening to the bourgeois theories of surrender are refuted by the opposition leader who, from his prison cell, warned that giving in will have catastrophic effects on the upcoming generation.

Perhaps, this was already known. However, what are the current given facts and information?

Facts and information state that the regime's military is more powerful than those who oppose it. The regime has regional alliances willing to do anything; Yemen is a clear example. The regime also has western alliances that pressure it to play the game from the inside, warning it of an impending massacre if it does not listen to their "advice". The regime; however, only lacks legitimacy.

Facts also reveal that the regime is only targeting Shiites in the country and after clamping down on them, the regime is revoking the citizenships of indigenous Bahrainis, opening the door for foreigners without any consideration of regulations, taxes or anything. In addition, scholarships for studying abroad in western and Arab countries have become very limited, and only granted through the three royal courts.

Shiites lack security, education and respect. They suffer from economic issues. The regime does not respect Shiite religious rites and culture; Shiites are subjected to daily blatant insults, ongoing threats and harassments.

The people also list a number of facts and information. People say it is impossible to rely on the ruling regime and that accepting this reality means "death" and putting an end to the existence of a main and indigenous component of this nation.

One of the facts is that the political demands are constant and they are the main element the regime wants to put an end to. However, the regime has failed to do so despite the brutality it practices.

The blatant tyranny against the Shiites in Bahrain has become a clear human rights issue that may be delayed for a while but not forever.

Facts prove that equations do not last and that the equation the regime is relying on in its oppression against the people shall not last forever.

Choices determine destinies. Bahrainis are characterized by having faith in their leaders. They all proclaim that they will not give up and will remain patient and determined. The choices made by the regime will be the ones to fall with time and only one reality will remain; i.e. the path the country is being dragged to has no end.
